LP, la cantante y compositora que tiene más de dos mil millones de reproducciones a su nombre y un devoto fanatismo a nivel mundial, anunció su esperado sexto álbum: Churches, el cual se lanzará el 8 de octubre a través de SOTA Records. Además, reveló la portada del disco y la lista de 15 temas, entre los que se encuentra “Goodbye”, sencillo que desde hoy está disponible junto con su video oficial.
“Goodbye” es el cuarto single de Churches. La canción fue coescrita por LP con sus colaboradores desde hace mucho tiempo, Mike del Rio, quien produjo y tocó todos los instrumentos excepto la batería, y Nate Campany, quien también es el equipo de redacción detrás de los sencillos de Churches “The One That You Love”, “How Low Can You Go”, junto con anteriores éxitos de LP.
“Esta canción es una maravilla para el alma. Una limpieza de primavera para liberarme de las ataduras de mi propia mente y, con suerte a los demás. La luz siempre está ahí si la quieres. Definitivamente la quiero. El video refleja ese periodo de tiempo, después de que tomas una gran decisión, cuando no sabes hacia dónde va la vida, pero te sientes esperanzado y tal vez un poco asustado y emocionado al mismo tiempo. Estar en un barco con amigos fue un momento de nuevas perspectivas y claridad para mí. Espero que esta canción y este video sean un soplo de aire fresco para cualquiera que sienta que necesita despejar la cabeza y embarcarse en un nuevo viaje”, cuenta LP. El tema debutó en el Top 5 de la lista Alternativa de iTunes y está en la lista Nueva Música de Viernes de Spotify en 27 países.
