Otra es un dúo de dos hermanas. Grabado en su casa en la brumosa Pacifica, CA, su álbum debut ‘I’m Not That Way’ (disponible digitalmente el 10 de febrero de 2023 a través de Thirty Something Records) documenta su viaje a medida que aprenden a verse a sí mismos con más claridad y a existir fuera de las expectativas.
Mientras la banda reflexiona sobre su propósito y sentido de identidad, las pistas buscan sus propias identidades sonoras, tejiendo y deambulando erráticamente a través de un festival de niebla de sintetizadores hipnagógicos, clarinetes caóticos, montones de voces inquietantes, guitarras crujientes y tierra polirrítmica.
Sobre el nuevo sencillo “E&M”, la banda dice: “Haim y St Vincent estaban en constante rotación mientras hacían este instrumental. No nos dimos cuenta hasta después de juntar las letras de que habíamos escrito nuestro álbum descarado más cerca: la canción es una liberación de expectativas (tanto de otras personas como de nosotros mismos) y una simple aceptación”.
